Who We Are

The Miniature Scene of York is an independent retail business specialising in 1/12th scale Dolls House miniatures, accessories and related products. It is run solely by ourselves, Graham and Lynda Barlow trading five days per week from a stall on the York Shambles Market and through our website www.miniaturescene.com open 24/7. Our office address is 38A Fossgate, York, North Yorkshire. The Miniature Scene of York is registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner's Office.

Information We Collect

  • Information about the device used to access and usage including your IP address, location, browser, referral, length of visit, page views and navigation.
  • Information relating to any goods added to your basket and / or purchased.
  • Details provided during registration and / or placing an order including your first name, last name, email address, password, phone number, billing address, delivery address and payment details.
  • Customer Payment details, other then the method of payment are not stored by us. From the checkout page on our website www.miniaturescene.com   the customer is redirected to the payment gateway of either Worldpay or PayPal depending on customer preference. From there on in the handling of all personal information entered into the relevant secure payment gateway is the responsibility of the third party involved in processing the payment.   • We will retain any information collected indefinitely but never for longer than is necessary. We will always retain your personal information in accordance with law and regulation.
  • Details that are saved to your account or used to place an order they may be stored for up to 1 year.

Responsibility to Young People

We will not knowingly collect information from any unsupervised person under the age of 18 years. If you are under the age of 18 years, you must not use the website or submit any personal data to us unless you have the consent of and are supervised by a parent or guardian.
